Storyteller
Aparna Malladi is an Aquarian and a chocolate lover. She was born February 16th in Madras and loves the beaches there and someday hopes to have a home there. When she was old enough, she attended Osmania University and studied something that she has completely forgotten. At 21, she landed on the banks of the Mississippii river in a place called Memphis where she watched many a cotton barge float by as she got her post graduate degree at the University of Tennessee in something she has completely forgotten also.
What she does remember however is the first time she looked through the view finder of an old 16mm Bolex camera at Film Arts Foundation in San Francisco and knowing that she could tell stories and that being very sensitive was actually a boon and not a curse. What she does remember is the moment when the 35mm print of her first short film was projected on the screen at Fotokem in Los Angeles and gave her a glimpse of the creator as filmmaker.

Bina has been talking to me, her sister, about you. Today i found you on face book and read your blog.
What made me comment is that even i still think being sensitive is a curse, hope i too get over it like you.
Good work, keep it up.
Rashmi, Bina mentioned you as well. One thing sensitive people need to do is have boundaries. We want to maintain our sensitivity and not become callused, however we have to create boundaries to protect that sensitivity. Initially I did not know how to create boundaries and would get hurt a lot, but now I am able to enjoy my sensitivity and vulnerability. It allows me to experience life so beautifully.
Hope I get to meet you in person someday.
Hello,
I happened upon your blog while I was doing some research for a Bollywood/Hollywood film project that I have in the works and just loved reading it! Then I read you bio and thought you are someone I’d love to meet sometime. Even online. Or at least say hello. Our birthdays are a few days apart, so we are both Aquarians. I work in film and television. I used to hate being called sensitive but these days I appreciate it.
I’d love to be in touch. best. Nan
Hi Nan,
